My right shift acts up sometimes. When I try to go through the Combo pages in Zquest, it acts if it doesn't recognize it sometimes. In fact, holding down shift and PgUp/Dn only goes through the screen properties until you stop hitting PgUp/Dn. Then it moves a combo page up or down or two.
Left shift works fine, however. I've seen this happen in earlier alphas, but I don't know if anyone else is having the problem.
Um... anyone else?
I just tried this in large mode in 718 (scrolled through some combos on all three selection areas for a few minutes), and it did act up once where it switched the screen properties panel once and then started scrolling combos afterwards. That happened to me on the rightmost selection box.
Is this still a bug?
Confirmed in 735. You have to press Page Up/Down THEN Shift for it to work. Left Shift works fine for me, though
I need system specs for anyone that is having this issue. I can't reproduce this.
Just got it myself in 780, moving around and changing subscreen objects; definitely seems like a combination of shift/pageup/pagedown is involved. Couldn't seem to get right shift working again even after restarting ZQuest. o_O
PRE-POST EDIT: Whoa wait a minute, I think I just stumbled on a closer-to-the-root cause of this...I just noticed that my Num Lock was mysteriously turned off. Right Shift never has worked in ZQ with Num Lock off, I think...perhaps whatever causes this bug is simply turning off Num Lock?
That's it. It's a bug in Allegro's keyboard handler. So, to make the Right Shift key work, you need Num Lock on.
So can it be fixed to where Right Shift works regardless of Num Lock being on or off? Or is this a inconvenience until the next Allegro update or its removal?
