Tile warp -> Scrolling warp (LttH bug)

Several people have run into a 2.5 bug in my quest (though it works fine in its intended version, 2.10), Link to the Heavens. (EDIT: I can verify this for 693.)

A tile warp is on the red o and Stalfos 3's are on the light blue x's.

This is what's up. I have a room with hidden Stalfo 3's as you can see. They shoot their fireballs out of those holes in the wall. Due to 2.10's limitations, I couldn't prevent the fireballs that they shoot from hurting Link in the doorway, so I placed a tile warp on the red x. I then set the tile warp type to a scrolling warp and the destination as the next room to the left (which is depicted below).

The next room (to the left) looks like this:

Whether or not it makes a difference, the blue tile thing is right in the doorway, but there is no green tile. When Link steps into the tile warp in the previous room, the screen turns black (I made the rooms dark to try to mask this), and he moves properly into the next room (the one depicted above). That's all nice and dandy, right?

However! 2.5 has its own ideas. Instead, it dumps Link like this:

Therefore, anyone using 2.5 can't get the item in this cave (though it is only the Blue Tunic). I understand that this is a cheap gimmick, but it works. In 2.10.

So the moral of the story? 2.5 doesn't handle a tile warp -> scrolling warp like 2.10 does. If any dev wants the quest link and password, I'll gladly PM it to you.

1) So you took a screen with lit torches in it, and made it dark? What?
2) A better solution than a tile warp would be to remove those left-wall Stalfos altogether. I mean, you've given Link no reason to ever walk in their path. What's their use?

...um, I mean, Fixed.

(P.S: Warp Return Points have no use in Scrolling Warps.)

And? 😃

You are correct, though. That was really out of laziness. I'll definately edit it out for the next update.

Thanks. 😊
