Yeah. They fall through the half-solid combo and get stuck as they touch the all-solid combo.
679 sideview: stalfos & presumably other enemies don't like half solid combos.
Uh-huh.
It seems to be only lower-half-solid combos that have this problem.
I bet it happens because enemies like to "snap to" combos. You can see the snap-to especially with gels, and it's also pretty noticeable with walker/shooters, since they stop right on a combo.
Perhaps you could make a quest rule: "Enemies Don't Snap to Combos."
That's something that's hardcoded into many of the enemy movement functions, and not easily quest-rule-able. Besides, it's silly to have a quest rule which breaks enemies in normal view when on, and in sideview when off.
As for this bug: fixed!
I reported this a while back DD and you decided at that time to move it to bugs in limbo for attention during the rewrite.
I agree a quest rule wouldn't fix the problem, quests using both side and above view wouldn't be helped.
In the mean time being able to adjust Links jump height can serve as a work around in design and _L_ implemented that a few betas ago, in other words don't use half walkable combos where you want enemies to stand.
EDIT;
Posted that ^ same time as _L_
So what WAS the bug if it was hardcoded to act that way, did fixing it break something else?
