This has been around for a while... Still in 660.
No frame limit without throttling FPS...
?
The point of throttling FPS is to limit it to 60...
Verb to throttle (third-person singular simple present throttles, present participle throttling, simple past throttled, past participle throttled)
1. To cut back on the speed of an engine, a person or organization.
You think maybe we should rename the "Throttle FPS" menu function?
call it "FPS Limit"?
Huh? What's so confusing about "throttle fps"...? 😮dd:
Here's another definition:
A throttle is the mechanism by which the engine is regulated by constriction or obstruction
I think it should be renamed. When I see throtle, I think of the throtle on an airplane. And let me tell you, you will be in for a big surprise if you are trying to stop an airplane and you shove the throtle forward. It should be renamed to something very simple, like slow down fps.
I think people are confusing the throttle noun with the throttle verb or something. Think about it for a second. When you cut back on the throttle, you are limiting the hinderance to the engine less, thus increasing speed. Make sense? :scared:
Well, if people are confused, might as well rename it. It's now "Cap FPS".
