all text in this quest by freedom is a dark red when i believe it should be white, it is hard to read red on red when you head up 3 times from the start.
[635] text colour issue in Castle Haunt 2.
It's because DarkDragon changed how text color is selected.
It screwed up all of my quests and I imagine everyone else's.
yours is the first and only quest i noticed it in so far.
* The text color set in Misc colors is now used by default for all ZC text, including guy messages, dmap into messages, and text on the subscreen.
Right. What was the Text Color in Misc Colors only used for in 2.10?
The string color was always the first color in cset 0 , it was never connected to the "text color" for the subscreen.
The reason some other quests are not screwed up is because they happen to have white in that position and selected it for the subscreen text as well.
The descendant tileset had a blue in that spot for water, since it was a light blue it worked out ok and I never tried to change anything because it effected so many tiles as well.
Keeping with how things were, when I made my new tileset, I made it a point to put a white there, BUT I had gold selected for the subscreen text.
Now in the new tileset the strings are also gold, which means I have to either change ALL text to white for the subscreen to get the string text to go white, or set down and add the code to 150 strings now present to get them white.
A P I T A either way.
SO... In my opinion string color should have the option of being set independently in misc. colors instead of being tied to text color, which no, it was not before, it was cset 0 slot 1.
So, to be clear: "Text Color" means subscreen text; all other text was 0 by default in 2.10?
I don't know about "ALL" other text, but I do know that string text and "text color" in misc. colors were not tied together.
String text used cset 0 color #1 regardless of what you set text string color to in misc. colors.
Fixed in the next build.
