Well I should go into more detail. So here's a stupid reference.
(Pitiful Subscreen)

Now for some reason, I can't select the Bow&Arrow. I don't believe this is a bug, but this is driving me nuts. How do I fix this?
Is this a custom quest? Can you send it to me so I can examine it?
press across or up and down
If you replace the bow and item with another item; say, the hammer, will it work then?
What version of ZC is this?
There are many questions that need answering in order to help.
I probably should be a tad more specific. Yes it is a custom subscreen, I probably should've said that.
Actually I can't select the potion. I got the potion and it sits diagnolly from Bombs. And I can't select it.
But if you try to move to an empty space, the selector won't move at all. I'm pretty sure normally it'd go to a different item if the item it's trying to move to isn't there, but with this custom subscreen it refuses to move to an empty space.
EDIT: It's 2.11 beta build 18.
It's remarkably easy to neglect to set the positioning for certain items. Hell, try the same thing in the latest beta (You can save it under a different name so as not to save the original file in the latest beta) to see if it works in there. If it doesn't, then it's a user-error, in which case you should look over your item positions and references when selecting them.
If I may ask, how should they be positioned? Because I've looked over the custom subscreen and they looked rightfully positioned to me. I even used the Revision 2 subscreen and it can select diagnol items just fine.
Although, how do you get the selector in the custom subscreen to wrap around the item box? (As in, when you move right at the edge of the box, the icon appears at the left.)
You have to click on your items and set the destinations in properties.
Left, right, up, and down.
Your items each have to be given their own position number, like the first at the top left in the box is the boomerang, it would be item number 0 and to the right of it would be bombs with item number 1 and so on, then point all the items to each other through properties.
For some reason I cannot post attachments. But I have an alternate method.

As suspected, your subscreen is not set up correctly.
You must give each slot a different position number, and set up the connectivity as described by Freedom.
I've found the problem.
I had the items set up so that if you moved right at the top-right corner, you'd go to the top left. The presets had it set up so that you go to the next row down. I should have inspected the presets a bit more.
Thanks for your help.
