Using Play Music option in Etc.
When loaded a Tracker music for playback as you work on your quest, volume level is lower than earlier builds. Same goes for the MP3s.
I think the noise for Trackers and MP3s is just right in ZC but I don't know, developers, check it out also...
your only meant to use midi, anything else is being removed before 2.5 is released.

Some quest designers like Tlseward or Freedom made quests for version 2.10 that use MP3s for alternate music. This is done by loading alternate music in the DMap in the Music page. Alternate music is sucessfully implemented since 2.10! The developers do not need to remove that. Alternate music (Trackers, MP3s and SPC music (from SNES ROMS)) are just inputed in DMap and are not saved in your quest. Just have the music file in the same directory for it to work.
Playing back in ZQ by using the Play Music function in this build [509] is of lower volume.
And still do.
It's just the ability to load them on the quest file itself that has been removed, you can still have them in the folder and load them that way via the dmap.
I have them in my current quest and they work fine.
I don't know about your volume level problem, since volume can't be adjusted in the quest file I always adjust the mp3's to the level I want them to play at in the quest, by editing them in my music program.
I suspect this is something you'll have to live with until they are implemented fully at some point in the future.
Developers, I have run a test myself.
Checked in 509 by playing a quest in a DMap with Tracker music. Heard the tracker. Then run ZQ and loaded a Tracker music for playback using the "Play Music" feature in Etc.
Results: Though volume is unadjustable, volume is just right in ZC but too lower in ZQ.
(Just leave your speaker and/or computer volume at the same level before testing what I tested)
In 528, still low noise level. See above post.
This may also apply to MP3s and/or SPC music.
The idea in removing the advanced music was to redo it, you'd be able to use midi, spc, gb, nes ... all in your quest file, whereas mp3, ogg and such would be used as separate files.
It's not top priority right now. But I don't recall removing MP3 ... it's still there under quest/dmaps/music.
A post to sort out my reported threads. Still occurs in 576. I will still wait until they get there and fix the low noise level.
Bug confirmed and being hunted down.
EDIT: fixed. ZC read volume from ag.cfg, default was 255. ZQ had 128 hard-coded as volume. ZQ now uses the volume setting from ZC.
Confirmed fixed in 624!
Move to exterminated.
(Next time, please modify the post icon to sick bug when you fix it.)
