Even when quest file from older build saved to this build [509], blue Leevers appear simultaneously. All built-in and the proposed quests are fine.
Go ahead and grab my Pendants quest in my signature. Load it in and go through the story, leave the house and go to the very bottom left of the overworld. You will see blue Leevers appear simultaneously. This is a 373 quest. Test it out in both 373 and the current build 509.
(Just to let you know that there are higher number builds available, but they are macosx and linux builds and I do not test them, I have windows)
Still occurs in 528. Please read above post.
I'm not sure this is really a bug - Leever 2 has no code to stop it from appearing simultaneously with another Leever 2. Instead, each Leever 2's burrowing happens in a precise cycle, with the cycle beginning whenever the Leever 2 spawns on screens.
Thus, whether or not Leever 2s can appear simultaneously is a function of what the screen's Pattern is, and what slots the Leever 2s occupy. As long as behavior is correct on built-in quest screens I don't think the current behavior is a problem.
Is there some corruption part going on in my quest?
I am eventually going to correct all information in the enemy editor for Leever L2 after studying the information of that enemy in proposed 1st quest. Then re-test it out.
DOES NOT APPLY TO MY DEMO QUEST. It is for the quest I am working on which is still unreleased as full.
After my re-test with corrected information for Leever L2 in enemy editor, I will let you know if they appear sequentially (one after one... like the NES). If they appear like that (hopefully), then I will edit my demo quest the same way and you can disregard the one in capital letters and note that it will be not a bug. Give me time to work.
EDIT: I will actually study Leever L2 information from editor from both, my quest and the proposed quest and put in listed in code boxes. (Not available yet, give me time.)
"Enter from sides" is my freind. 😉

Just checked in proposed quest on that screen where blue leevers appear using ZQ. Set at random. Then played in ZC.
You are wrong, Leevers appear one at a time, but I think maybe it is something to do with "New enemy tiles." If not, it might be corruption in L2 Leever part. I will create test quests.
EDIT: Tested the test quests. Sorry, not to do with "New enemy tiles." I am afraid it is corruption. 😞
But I am going to try testing it out both with Z3 Movement on and off. And If I cannot find a way, all I can hope is to let the developers investigate aggressively in my quest... I have run out of information.
EDIT: Oh, no. I guess that is it. Developers, investigate throughly in my demo quest. I highly believe it is corruption that is making Leever L2's appear simultaneously instead of sequentially. I hope it is not permanent..................
Corruption of what? Enemy behavior isn't stored in the .qst.
I'm still skeptical that this is a bug, as there's no convincing evidence that blue Leevers are suppose to appear sequentially on that screen. Show me a screen with the enemies set up exactly the same as a proposed1st.qst screen, including spawn pattern, but where the Leevers behave differently, and I'll investigate.
I didn't get this clearly.
Which program should I use to provide snapshots, ZC or ZQ?
From which quest, proposed1st or my own quest?
Then, give me instructions and I will post snapshots.
Leevers appear sequentially in the NES quests, right? And sequentially in proposed1st.qst.
They don't appear sequentially in your quest; that is not a bug. "Must appear sequentially" is not a property of the Leevers, but a side-effect of how the Leevers are set up in proposed1st.qst.
Thus, there is nothing to fix here, unless
- Leevers are not appearing sequentially in proposed1st.qst, but do in the NES.
- The enemy properties of Leevers in the default template do not match the enemy properties in proposed1st.qst.
All proposed quests behave like the NES. They appear sequentally. I have already checked it out and I checked it again.
Excellent. Then there's nothing to fix.
If you need your Leevers to appear sequential, study the proposed quests and experiment. I'm still betting that how many enemies are on the screen and what the spawn pattern is are the important factors.
Notice when you have like 10 octorocks on a screen they all spawn at different times? But if you keep entering the screen you start to notice patterns. Have you tried for example, instead of using enemy 1, 2, and 3 as leevers, use enemy 1, 4, and 9 instead. Also worth mentioning is "enter from sides", usually when I set this up, for whatever reason, they tend to spawn in reverse order.
I've never seen leevers spawn at the same time in my quest, but also I thought i'd mention that they're never in sequential order on my enemy list. Hope this helps you get them to work. 😉
The pattern I had used was Random.
EDIT: Gleeok had posted before I did.
