509 - Strings not displaying properly on non-zero levels

And yes I triple checked this to make sure the level # was set properly. Seems when I place an invisible guy in a non-level 0 room with "no guy fires" on it doesn't display the string properly.

Did you triple-check that the string/guy-related DMap Flags had been properly set?

Sorry, I hadn't noticed this was bumped. It's from link paradox, but for the record, any strings in question were removed. I've since updated it to work with 571(posted version bugs some of the custom monsters past 528), and I'll let you know if it's still happening shortly.

Checked it, the problem is still occuring, and in fact, it's worse now. On the overworld, you can no longer go to screens where the 2nd digit is larger than 7. It even does this while "no walls" is on. I'll make another thread for it though.

That's human error, not a bug, I responded in your other thread.
I believe your stings problem is with the flags in the dmap.

Which flags? Enemy, screen, or the player interaction flags?

Ah I see it now. Yeah thanks. The problem wasn't the strings not working, but that the disable and flags tabs don't appear by default until you press right on the map tab. In that case it isn't a bug.

Yeah, sorry I can't thank you for pointing that out, but apparently I have to spread some thanks around first. But seriously, thanks, that will help for future quests(the next one's probably going to be a lot easier of course).

They do that just to fuck with us. 😉

Add entire pages of options, but a little tiny box with arrows in it. Yeah, we've all been there. I can just picture the developers sitting in a leather chair in an underground fortress, sipping fine brandy and stroking a white cat with one red eye saying "good, good". Needless to say operation "move stuff around" was a complete success. 😃
