This is a big limitation, because I (and certainly others) will want to exceed it. I posted it here, because it's more of a request for a should-be-easy-to-do limit break than a bug. It's already 2 bytes anyway, (right?) so why not move the limit to 65535?

Stungun, true, they are programmers, but they are neither god nor omnipotent. They are human like the rest of us. I'm sure that there are some technical barriers to overcome, give it time 😉
The more things like this that get delayed until post-2.5, the sooner we'll have 2.5.

Check Script requests under 'Shop Script' I think I made an alright shop script, soon I am going to modify it so it will show prices as well (one FFC for each digit X 3 items + one FFC for each item = an amazing 15 FFC's needed to do it, but doable)
You could just do it like you did it in the item editor. :shrug:
Point is: I would rather not use a script to break the limit or wait for 2.6, mostly because it doesn't do the cool subtracting rupees one by one until you're out. It's a consistency issue.
Seriously, guys. It would take like ten minutes to implement. That little time will delay the 2.5 release no longer than a day. Sideview ladders could take weeks. postpone sideview ladders to V2.6.

uhm... I'd rather have it instantly go down to the ammount of rupees anyway, lol. Well, the script would suffice until someone makes shops carry items worth more than 999 rupees,
Either way, its not nessicarily a big deal at this point, according to everyone who voted no new features and bugfixing only.
Advanced Shop Script is up in Showcase, I put the features asked for
1) 5 digits
2) Takes rupies one by one
I know we would all rather see the 999 rupie limit fixed then a workaround but if it means haveing 2.5 sooner, I'll gladly make scripts to fix any little annoyance like this 😊
