I do not know whether this is reported or not...
The selector in the subscreen animates much faster in ZC than the actual speed (as set in ZQ).

I always thought that this was an issue of ZQuest slowing down, and not anything to do with a fault in programming. Whatever the case, I have experienced this too.
You know, setting the animation speed higher can slow the animation down.
Yeah, but in this case, with a speed of 0 or 1, it's actually skipping every other frame.
Combining that with the fact that no other items do this, it's likely that the selectors shouldn't be going at double-speed to begin with...

The animation speed set in ZQ does not match in ZC. In ZC, the speed is faster than in ZQ. What the developers need to do is fix the speed in ZC so that it matches with the one in ZQ.
Sure I can try this but I don't want to. Once the developers get this fixed, I will have to readjust the animation speed again to the number before if I did adjust it to a higher number.
Bug still remains in 473.

Uhm... do you have any idea how many old quests this change would break?
What I am willing to do, however, is change ZQuest animation to match ZC. Which animations are too slow? Just items? Or also tiles? Animating combos? Link sprites?

Not many...if I remember right, it was after build 254 that this started. 😛
(I had the cursor set to 24 frames, speed 0, with every other frame blank, so that it flickered. Somewhere along the line, it stopped flickering, because ZC was trying to animate it at twice the speed it had before--which, at speed 0, now made it skip every other frame, so that it randomly appeared either completely invisible or completely solid every time I pulled up the subscreen.)
EDIT: Found an old thread on it. Looks like I didn't remember right after all...this bug has been in since at least beta 16. o_O
I knew this was reported earlier. Thanks, Hypercrash.

My third moved bug so far.
EDIT: DarkDragon, the only thing that is animating faster in Zelda Classic than the speed set in ZQuest is the Selector sprite in the subscreen. It is not obeying the animation speed set in the "Selection 1" and "Selection 2" item properties. Use the test feature to see what the speed is done. Now go in ZC and look at the subscreen. The selection is faster, and it doesn't match.
