The case of the mysterious color changing c-set

Ah! I've noticed some threads about pallete bugs and thought that I might be able to help out. I never got around to posting this awhile back.

So heres the quest. i'ts a little old: 364. http://www.mediafire.com/?5gg3lonp9tj

Load it up and look at graphics-main pallete c-set 0.
Then go to screen 63, go to graphics-tiles-edit any tile-change to c-set 0...Colors 7 and 8 are blacked out!
Then if you do the same on screen 73, colors 7-8 change from blue to red!
I hope this helps you track down some bugs.

Fixed. The problem was that you were using palette cycling although Interpolated Fading was turned off. You can see the results on screen 73 (with the blinking background). Was that intentional? I'm not sure it would even show up in game play the way it is set up.

That was not set up by me. I only used this quest to rip and grab palletes and tiles, which I have since grabbed into the real quest. The combo's are only there for some mockup screens. Does it automatically set it to pallete cycling when grabbing? This was unintentional. I'm confused as to what was fixed. Is there more than one bug here? Can I turn off pallete cycling for these?

Well, you can't edit palette cycling unless the Interpolated Fading quest rule is on, though it still shows up in ZQuest. The combo cycling doesn't actually happen in the game if the rule is off. So, I guess I need to change ZQuest to not do the animation if the rule is off, too. To keep things correct.
