* Empty DMaps in newly-created quests will no longer have the first four DMap flags enabled by default. ( _L_, 2007-07-05 23:48:49 )
These are still checked, and it's not the first 4 it's the first 3 and the 5th one. 😉

Hmm-hmm.
Unfortunately, I'm not entirely sure how the 'default empty quest' works in relation to qst.cpp. Little help?
The default empty quest is only affected by qst.cpp the same way other quests are - the default template is essentially an ordinary quest embedded in qst.dat.
I'll take care of this problem.
Fixed in the next build.
I guess I'm not understanding what's going on here, twice you guys have said these are "fixed" but yet they are still exactly the same in every build, including now the 488.
Yes. The new quest template was accidentally left out of this build; I've scheduled it to be added in the next.
Still checked in 492 😉
Ah, I misread your post and thought you only wanted flags 3 and 5 cleared.
To be honest, I don't know which ones I would want cleared.
Haven't really tried to see which one does what to who.
I know when they were first put in it took me a couple hours to figure out why my strings wouldn't work, because who would have thunked to look there for the problem.....
I think what we need is a dwarf in each new beta download to run it for us.
As best as I can tell, the first flag affects only what happens when you enter a cave warp. If the flag is set, you enter from the bottom, there are no Keese, and there is a guy.
You probably want the flag set in the overworld, and cleared in the dungeons; I'm not sure what it should be by default.
Since Interior DMaps are usually going to quite outweigh Overworld DMaps in any given quest, all of the flags should probably be off by default.
Done in the next build.

Dead Bug!
