I use a babbling brook water sound in the ocean sfx slot and I noticed you can trick it into turning off if you start to scroll a screen and then go right back in, instead of letting it scroll to the next screen.
It still turns off when you heart up at a fairy too, but it's done that forever.
Not a life threatening bug, but a bug still.
What precisely do you mean by "start to scroll a screen" ... "and then go right back in"?
I mean you start to leave the screen, it starts to scroll to that next screen, and you turn around and go back in. 😉
Oh yeah, I think I know what you mean. Like, as the screen is scrolling, you can hold the direction opposite to the direction you're scrolling in, so as soon as you arrive at the new screen, you almost instantly scroll back?
I think there are a few issues with this, even aside from this one. If you're using the Overworld Map, (The ZC Generated one, not the actual map in the upper left screen. The one you usually press Space Bar to activate, and is a quest rule...) if you do that screen trick that you just described, that screen won't get added to the map unless you remain on that screen for just a tiny bit more time than we'd spent.
Perhaps this isn't so much a bug with the SFX manipulation, but with the nature of screen scrolling.
I recall in earlier versions if there was multiple zora's on a screen you could do this trick and all but one would disappear. Haven't tried it for a while though.
