build 429
The string editor won't allow you to turn back OFF your cap lock if you use it while writing a string, it then comes baCk And haUNts yOu wHen FiLling In a dMap
Also if you write a string and go back to center a line, it won't let you get back to the end of the string to continue writing the next line, it just won't scroll over.
open it up and verify it then, it's pretty easy to do 😉
write out enough text until you get down to the last of the 3 and then try and move them all around starting with the first.
There's no way to advance to the end of the (3rd) string with your pointer past about midway of the second string.
as for the cap lock thing, I'll check again in the latest build.
What's the status of this bug?
This part of the bug;
Also if you write a string and go back to center a line, it won't let you get back to the end of the string to continue writing the next line, it just won't scroll over.
is still happening in 488.
I haven't tried the other again
edit;
okay, tried the other.
the cap lock light on the keyboard still comes back on, but it doesn't write in caps.
500 still messes up the cap lock.
you turn caps lock on to write, and then when you turn it back off it still writes in caps with the keyboard light off, then from then on it is backwards, lights on lower case, light off caps.
You have to exit the program to reset it.
Is the "can't scroll to end of text" bug still happening in the latest build? I'm not noticing any problems.
I'm not seeing the caps lock problem either, but in any case that one's for sure an Allegro bug.
I'll give it a check in the 536 and report back.
Here's what I found.
You can get to the end and edit the last word of a string if you use the right arrow button, but not by clicking at the end of the input window.
Personally I think it can wait for 2.5 when _L_ implements the rest of his plans for it.
Sounds good; I was using the arrow keys myself.
