They think they are giving you a gift.
Yeah, there's a book, and believe me, it's far better than the movie.
^^Almost always the case.
Was there a book for the Matrix? I know that it was meant to be a comic book universe thing, but was there a book?
Also thanks for telling me Pineconn, it definitely just showed up a day ago, creeped me out. Now back to my reheated pizza hut pizza.
So I came home this weekend, but I have no clothes to wear unless I wash them, and guess what I don't feel like doing.
You probably don't feel like playing Bogel, or filling out paperwork for your car insurance. Am I right? Am I? Eh, eh? Yeah, you know I am. A million Pineconn Dollars for you sir.
I only accept Phattonez dollars, sorry.
I don't care, I've got so many Pineconn dollars, I have to give them away some how.
Use them as napkins or something.
Isn't there a currency exchange place somewhere on here?
I'm sure there is, probably a page or two back. Now its time for some ascii art.
[edit]OH GOD ITS UGLY, DON'T LOOK[/edit]
I think there's something missing there.
I'll take those pineconn dollars off you hands!
>_> Since I have a lot of gaps in my schedule, I went around trying to get a part time job. I went to ten places, and spent my whole day on it. That was last friday. So I got a call on Wednesday from the local Mc donalds, saying they want a pre-interview. It went well, I think, and they said they'd call back the next day.
Nothing. So I spend the WHOLE friday at home with no Phone or internet access (since that would block all incoming calls, the stupid dial up). and they STILL didn't call!
...This is not the first time I've been rejected EVERYWHERE, but come on...Mc donalds never called back, and they said they're a bit understaffed. >_> I guess Jobs ar ejust ANOTHER thing I have bad luck with...
Are you stupid? If you're not stupid then you won't be hired.
phattonez wrote:Are you stupid? If you're not stupid then you won't be hired.
:glare: Step over here and say that again, buddy.
And no, considering I got through high school and most of college OK, I'm not stupid.
*sigh* I'm just ticked off that they said they'd call me back, and they never did.
That was actually a compliment saying that you shouldn't be working at McDonalds.
One of my professors actually had a story too about McDonald's hiring policies. They supposedly avoid hiring anyone above a certain IQ level because, in theory, smarter people get bored more easily with repetitive, dead-end jobs and demand raises and promotions more often. I don't know if it's true or if it was just her being mad at not being hired by McDonald's.
It's the same thing that a lot of businesses do. They don't want people that are over-qualified because then you have to promote them and then they need to find new people to replace the ones that have gone up. They want people who will stay at the same low paying job for years.

...*smashes head into desk* ...I am such an idiot... I completely misread the comment in question. ...Sorry about that Phattonez.
...Well...on the upside... I guess I can't be that much of an idiot, or they would have hired me! XD
And If that bit about getting the stupidest people possible to work there is true, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised. They have HIGHLY unhealthy food (apparently even flies and bacteria avoid it) and they put quick dissolving sugar in their stuff to make you feel good, so you'll come back.
You leave some McDonalds food outside for a while, and I guarantee that you will have all kinds of bugs around it. Those arguments don't work for me.
Hehe, yeah, our McDonalds has a huge cutout of a young woman looking assertive and confident. Next to it is a list of reasons why you should work at McDonalds, like "Many oppertunities for advancemet", "good money", and "life skills". Every time I look at it, I mentally scream "BS!".
You should check around any plant nursery places, if there are any around you. Theres this one about two miles down the road from me, called Glenmar Nursery, and my neighbor works there. He got in really easily, and he was 15 or 16 at the time.
Places like that usually just have you go around watering plants [if they don't have electric sprinklers, most will however] or moving mulch, or feeding fish, stuff like that. Its actually incredibly relaxing.

Know whats fun about ordering two M4-A1's online, and having the second one break? All the extra parts that I can now sell individually for more pineconn dollars. Wooo.
...
I have been looking for a weekday summer job, and there is a nursery just a few miles from here...
I should look into it.
Well then, my secret underground network of ninja seems to be working quite efficiently. Good day to you sir.
...wait...
...what?
Oh, I am so confused right now...
Yes, you are.

So I'm boiling some noodles. They'll be done in a few minutes. Now the question is, what type of sauce should I use? Alfredo Sauce [with aged parmesan], Ragu Six Cheese, or Cream of Chicken?
I'm thinking the Ragu.
[edit]I'm starting to loose faith in the uber god powers of this thread, since nobody replied within my 5 minutes allotted time.[/edit]
Ragu is the most terrible pasta sauce, IMO. I can't stand it.
MasterSwordUltima wrote:You should check around any plant nursery places, if there are any around you.
:s If there were any places like that here, I'd apply for sure. But I'm pretty sure there are none in my near vicinity.
Get a driving job, those are always fun. I'm trying to get a job driving a small shuttle around campus, and they basically said that I'll get it in a few months, and they'll even help me get a Class B License. Sounds good to me.
This thread is wiggity niggity whack, yo.
