This using the cursor selector (the bottom four arrows on the right-hand panel). It throws up the windows 2000 'Zquest-w has generated errors and must be closed' dialog box, which I assume is the same as a Windows 98 illegal operation.
ZQ "Generates Errors" when selecting superbombs in subscreen editor.
Fixed in the next build.
