That's very strange. It doesn't happen to me when I use build 278. What type subscreen are you using anyway? 😕

Just the defaults. I mean, I've modified them a bit in the past, but I don't have any new ones, if thats what you mean.

EDIT: Okay, I figured it out, but it's still a bug. Apparently when you have the grid enabled, it fills the entire screen with solid. Go figure.

Haven't you taken care of it yet? When you load a custom quest, then look at the subscreen editor, turn on the grid and it is not showing the dots, instead it covers everything up! We couldn't determine the placement. Grid helps with the alignment! Bug still occurs in 403 and below! Do the developers need a copy of my demo version of Pendants? If so, click on the link in my signature.

(I'll will have to PM the developers the password)

It sounds to me like a duplicate of this bug.

...except that when it got fixed, the 1's stayed in the grid dialog, because I'd saved the quest since. Once I set them back to 4 and saved, they remained at 4. 😛

LOL PRE-POST EDIT CUZ I'M TOO SLOW: yeah, what pkmnfrk said. 😛

ACTUAL POST-POST EDIT: wtf, never realized I had 1500 posts. o.O

The default of the grid setting in the subscreen is 8 by 8 in grid->edit dialog box in subscreen editor when starting ZQuest with a fresh new quest file. When you load the custom quest, ZQuest never kept its default so it sets to 1 by 1, which filled everything completely solid color.

Fix the defaults.

??
The defaults seem fine.
If you are having problems in older beta quests, edit the grid properties as described above.

i think the problem is, that in some build when you edited them the edit never got saved so when updating the quest to a newer build yet again, people started noticing this.

Start ZQ. Go to the subscreen editor and select a template. Click Grid then click edit. Notice there is the default of 8 by 8. Get out of subscreen editor, then load a custom quest (anything or mine for example). Go to the subscreen editor and select a template. Click Grid then click edit. Now notice that it is automatically set to 1 by 1 which is not default. Still occuring in 448. If you still believe its not a bug, we will have to edit the grid every time we load the quest.

EDIT: Okay, so it is truly not a bug. Edit your grid to 8 by 8 and save your quest, quit ZQ. Start ZQ, load quest and check your grid. It is set at 8 by 8. There. Now anybody replies after this post will not be acceptable.
