Leaving a bomb on-screen, then changing to another screen before it explodes will make the screen go black. EVERYTHING will go black, but from what I can tell, you can still do actions and move around, but there will be no color. This also includes the subscreen
Going through a side-warp (where the colors fade out, then fade back in with the new colors) will reset CSets 2, 3, 4, and 9, but everything else will be black
Going through an Entrance/Exit, or similar warp will fix it completley
Also, this only works with standard bombs. Nothing else does this
o_O that's like serious.....
But I tried your way and it doesn't seem to reproduce the bug on my end. So more info?
i think a sample quest would be more helpful then more info imho.
bombtest.qst
Also, I should mention this is in beta 16c. Set a bomb, then walk off screen before it explodes. The bomb is set up almost exactly the way it is in Hyrule Fantasy (Where I first experienced this), and I got it to work every time
test in the latest alpha version... build 219... as there may be things they have done since then that they may have forgotten to place in the change logs.
Tested your quest, still doesn't reproduce for me.
most likely fixed before the change log thing got implemented thus we never saw when it got fixed.
Or they accidentally fixed it by fixing something else. Oh well, as long as it's taken care of
Weird. Let me know if this happens again on the latest alphas and I'll investigate.

I can replicate this (using bombtest.qst) in build 219 -it still happens even if you press F6 and select 'Continue', and even if you reset ZC.
It also happens in 1st, 2nd and 3rd but NOT in NeoFirst, 210test or bs1st - a tileset-specific bug?
Strange... I couldn't replicate this bug in 240, but I can in 251.
Can also be replicated in 278.
Well, there is a quest rule on page 5 called "Bomb Explosions Don't Flash Palette". Turn that on and you shouldn't have the problem. Why the problem exists with that rule off, I have no idea, as I'm not able to reproduce the problem while playing your quest.
I've fixed a related bug with bombs and the flashing palette a few builds ago; does this bug still occur?
