I think I found another bug in 142. The rocks that the normal red Octoroks shoot seem to bounce off the small shield like an image in a mirror. Once the rock hit the shield, it bounced back as if I was the one who shot the rock. Last time I checked, the small shield is only supposed to block the rocks.
Rock + Shield bug
Hey wait, this ain't a bug, it's a quest rule. Check for the one that mentions "shields reflect rocks".
With this rule off will it make the shield act like it's not there? Because that's what happened to me. Like likes ate the magic shield, took me to a regular shield and that's what happened.
There's also a quest rule whether Like Likes eat your small shield or not.
if you have both a small shield and the magic shield or better... does it require you to get eaten by a like like multiple times to lose all your shields?
*screams* Oh the agony.
If thes rules "Can keep Old Items" and "Likelikes can eat small shield" are checked, getting eaten by a likelike when you posses a magic shield will result in a shield-les link.
Proof positive of the inefficiency of item-property quest rules. Which is why these rules should be moved to the item editor (The 'edibility' flag, and possibly 'Projectile Block' flags for the shields).
So this isn't a bug, but rather something that needs mechanics tweaking.

Hmm... this sounds familiar. If it's real, assume fixed.
P.S: Like Likes eat all edible items in one go. The precedent for this is in OoT (where they ate both shields and tunics simultaneously.)
My observation is this:
I turned "magic shield reflects rocks" but the rocks went through the magic shield. It reflected only one from the many, I don't know how it became reflected while others didn't... I was using L3 (fire) octoroks and changed their fire to rock.
I don't think editing enemies would be a good Idea to test this, seeing as how the editor is slightly unstable, you should just use all the default octoroks (L1 and L2).
Wait, I'm confused.
1. Is there, or is there not, a bug?
2. If there is, what specifically is the current behavior, and the intended behavior?

Oh, oh, that's a different bug altogether. Also fixable.
P.S: Here's a recap:
* Shields reflect rocks = Not a bug if the "Shields reflect rocks" rule is on.
* Shields ignore rocks = A bug (but not verifiable on my side).
* Like Likes eat multiple shields = Not a bug
* Shields ignore Octorok 3 rocks = A bug
* There ought to be an edibility flag in the item editor = Not a bug but a request.
Actually, Octorok 3 projectiles seem to be fired in a way that you can't deflect them. I've made a 'super wizzrobe' based off of the Octorok 3 and here is what I observed: The magic would be fired to the left, but the beams were 'facing' up, down, or left. When I turned around (faced away), Link would sometimes reflect this magic. My suspicion is that the shield looks for projectiles 'facing' a certain direction to determine whether to deflect them or not. Fireballs are the exception, but probably because they can be going in any direction (and thus their 'facing' means nothing to shields).
If you want screenshots, let me know so I can get them (or you can try it for yourself by simply changing the Octorok 3's projectiles to something else. If it graphically has facing such as arrows, swords, or some magic beams, then you can see what I'm talking about).
