What real scripting language would you say that ZScript is most similar to?
I'm about to learn C++ for my own reasons, but would I in effect be able to learn C++ at the same time and understand both?

Zscript is similar to C/++ code.
I think ZScript is, as DarkDragon had once said, a "Pet" language of C or C++. IMHO, learning either first would be a great preparation for the other. :shrug: You can learn either and the other will quietly tag along with it if you work on the other simultaneously.
What they said. ZScript is almost a subset of C. There are some differences, but they're pretty simple.
