While in a sidescroller screen with the Hover Boots, charge up a Hurricane Spin. Start spinning, then walk off a cliff; It's the RETURN OF THE PSYCHO SPIN! Link spins at about 4X speed and can't move until the spin finishes.
I think this would also be possible using conveyers to push the player off the ledge.
