We've lost a cset, apparently

My water cset (cset 3, I think... it's the same cset as water usually is in the DoR tileset) seems to have vanished. Water appears normally when the dmap first loads, but suddenly, half the colors change to black for no apparent reason. This applies to every screen on the dmap.

I know what it is.... 😉

It's the bug I reported about palette cycling a while back.
They corrupt when moving up from one beta to the next.
So far I've had two do it.
The only way to fix it is to move the colors to another palette and change it in the dmap.
The effected palette cycles but isn't set to and it doesn't show except in the player, exactly like you described.

Now that's a weird bug. I had this same thing occur to me a while back with beta 15, but just like that this problem suddenly disappeared and I do not have this bug happening anymore.

I have the same problem in Hyrule Fantasy. One of the areas loses half of it's colors as soon as I view any screen with it applied. It's level palette 8, I believe, where that happens for me

It happened to me with my palette for level 4 when I upgraded to b15, and to my level 7 palette when I upgraded to b16b.
It seems to pick and choose.
Once I changed them to a different palette slot they worked fine and haven't corrupted again, but as far as I know those two are still corrupt, just no longer used.

I "think" it was palettes 1A and 34 that corrupted on me.

Definitely gonna take a look at this one. Sorry for all the bugs. As I said, I can't test everything :/

That's why we are here for you, though I'd wish in greater numbers...

For me it was cset 4 that went all black, it didnt matter what palette because on most palettes this bug occurred. But as I said, this happened to me only for a while on beta 15, so I dunno if that info is any good, but from now on I try to post all little bits of info that may or may not help.

Yes it is--you just don't know it. 😉

Turn on the "interpolated fading" quest rule, then view that messed-up palette in the editor.

Hit the "Cycle" button...

Apparently, something somewhere along the line threw garbage into the palette cycling settings. 😮dd:

You should be fine if you set them all back to 0, I think. 😊

I did all of that, and they were 0's.
I even removed and replaced all of the 0's in trying to fix it, read the other post I made when I first reported this.
