seriously... i cant play any quests with it... i thought 16C was a bug fix release... not a pile a crap not working at all.... soory but im very disappointed now.
Tried playing some quests and they're completely screwed to the extreme. 16c
now I'm confused... I'm not getting any crashes on my system. Is anyone else besides Freedom and franpa reporting problems?
franpa, it would help if you posted WHAT quests don't work. Or are you saying that not a single one works you try? O_o All the quests I've tried work fine... though I haven't tried 1.90 quests yet...
1.90 quests may be all thats screwed... i got some pics ill upload now.

can't even go one screen up in the 1st quest or I am looking at my desktop
also with Castle Haunt 3 starts okay but 1 screen up and it is looking desktop again wolfstyle dx can do everyrthing on the first screen can get sword can cut bushes everything looks normal but one screen up is desktop again :uhoh:
Don't know if it's important to know or not but running Win 98
Actually, running Win98 might be important, I'm not too sure about that though...
I just tested it on my ancient '98 machine, and I can certainly testify that ZC will crash when you scroll to another screen on ZC 2.11 Beta 16c. Virtually Any other type of warp won't crash it though. There is no such bug in this Celeron WinXP machine though. I do wonder why.
So it looks like all windows 98 platforms are having this failure.
Definitely looks like it. I'll have to look this one up.
yeah kind of funny uh I still have 98 because of zelda and now it kills zelda 😉
HOWEVER, (sorry to disappoint you jman2050) I have Windows XP home sp2 as noted in my signature.
now we're back to square 1 😞
Deja Vu 2.11b12
It was the traps that time. 😉
haha someone got so annoyed they fixed my typo in the title of this thread.
double post: it looks like its 2 separate bugs tho... because for eveeryone using windows 98 they crashed to the desktop... however... for me all that ive encountered is that (this is in the player and excludes the crashing issue on exit) things in caves are appearing on the over world... this makes it impossible to some degree because sometimes it will prevent you from walking above halfway to the top of the screen.
edit: "links return to snortisia MQ" plays fine except now the bug with the introduction not disappearing if you press A is back (the A button was fixed im sure in b16b) and theres still the occasional random jitter.
AND OMG, if i dont have a 1.90 game... then zelda-w.exe will quit fine and dandy and update the *.sav file and *.cfg file as appropriate.
I am SO not getting this crash and I'm playing all sorts of quests. Using Windows XP with latest service pack installed. So not sure what the dealio is.
- 2.10 quests "seem" fine.
- castle haunt i couldnt enter because of unknown reasons... there was a barrier stopping me from entering the house/castle/whatever.
- zelda's quest for link 2 worked apparently fine.
- link to the darkness (1.90 quest) is showing things in caves out on the overworld.
- 1.90 quest for a save game results in a crash upon exit within ntdll.dll
- entering a cave/shop in a 1.90 quest takes you to some freaky place with 3 keese.
Fixed the bug where 1.90 quests would crash ZC when you exit. The others I'll look at tomorrow.

green = fixed TTBomK
orange = not thoroughly tested due to me getting bored with the quest at the time.
red = cant remember testing this much.
build 536
This has been fixed for a loooong time now.
I mean my issue regarding cave items/guys appearing on overworlds.
Windows 98 must be the problem upgrade your window.
This thread can be moved to exterminated, it's pretty much resolved/irrelevant now. Looking back at this thread makes me realize I was a pretty big dick back then >.>"
lol.
Actually, none of these forum threads are relevant to current releases. You can just pretend they are already exterminated. 😉
