Ok, if you create a new enemy from scratch, save it, save the quest, and test the enemy, it works fine, however if you go back and edit the enemy again, Zelda Classic crashes... not ZQuest, mind you, the game player.
So, it seems once you edit a new enemy, you can't go back and edit it again. :scared:
Not getting the crash here. Tell me EXACTLY what you did.
Ok, first I open up a fresh enemy e#
Then I set its sprites, changed it to a walker, added hp of 14 and damage of 2.
I set its movement rate to one.
After that, I saved the quest file and opened up zelda.exe
Then I noticed how slow 1 movement rate was, and I went back and changed the walking speed up to a higher number, I set it to 100.
I quit the quest in zelda and retried, and opened up the quest again. zelda.exe crashes.
By movement rate, do you mean the ramdom rate? or the step speed?
I made a walker just like you did and I didn't find any problems with it.
step speed...
Its going back and editing it thats a problem.
I tested this with a standard enemy and things seem to be fine, however. I'm going to go back and double check those enemies I've created, maybe I missed some information I should get to filling in.
Seems to be only e### that do this, you can only edit them once, after that, any edits to them that are registered will crash zelda.exe
Problem still occurs for me. I also need a place to upload the quest that it occurs in, thanks to the SFX data IN the quest I have no where to upload it to show it.
EDIT: It just seems to be ONE enemy doing this that I created so far.
Certainly quite odd. If I had an example quest, I could find this bug much more quickly.
I'll figure something out, I had to reformat my hard drive and lost that quest.
