WANTED: Sound effects for Din's Fire and Farore's Wind

In this beta, I decided to add a bunch more sound effects to the game. However, when it came to finding actual sound files to add to sfx.dat, I came up short in these two areas:

* A sound effect that plays when the Din's Fire flames burst out of the spell rocket.
* A sound effect that plays when Link "dissolves" with Farore's Wind.

I'm willing to accept contributions for either of these two sounds. Post links to (or attach) Wave files in this topic. The final decision will be mine, unless one of the other developers overrules me.

Oh, that click. Yeah, I had to use headphones when I edited it, so I didn't hear it until after I got it hosted and posted. I don't mind if you get rid of the click.

Well, that doesn't really match the Farore's Wind animation very well. What I'm really looking for is some kind of "ping" or "pop" noise - something similar or equal to the "escape" sound from Within a Deep Forest.

The Din's Fire sound is pretty good. I'll just trim back the trailing silence...

_L_, I got an SFX that might intrest you for the Farore's Wind. And I set up a poll thread about it yesterday.

How would this SFX for the Farore's Wind suit you?

EDIT: Removed link, file no longer exists.

EDIT: Poll thread is closed.

I've got sfx files for all the sounds in Mega Man X5 and Disegea... I bet you can find useful stuff in there.

That already got resolved in alpha build 478. Read this from http://www.shardstorm.com.

* Attempting to loading a stereo SFX no longer crashes ZQuest upon playback. ( DarkDragon, 2007-07-14 01:45:07 )

If you still have trouble, try loading sfx using WAV files with a bitrate of 22050 and either 8-bit or 16-bit. Try converting it to that bitrate, or re-create it and save it using that bitrate.

Right-click here and click "Save Target as" EDIT: Updated the file, volume increased by 150% and trimmed back.

Hmm...

These are, after all, default sound effects. The Twilight style animation isn't the default setting.

At least I tried _L_. Not good enough. Everybody vote NO. The poll thread is just for fun till it closes on August 1st. Poll link located at post #8 in this thread. (I know I should not had posted a poll there... I am sorry. 😞 _L_, you are a moderator, I saw that in the Beta Discussion forum. Try closing the poll thread.)

I will have to try a little bit harder of finding a SFX. "Ping" or "Pop" sound similar to "escape" from Within a Deep Forest, you say? It is very complicated to find.
