The fire boomerang can stun darknuts, wizzrobes, pols voices and causes damage to an enemy when used on them.

Its basically almost considered a 'cheap' item with all the bonuses it gives you in combat. Which is why I usually don't include it until the very end of the quest.

It stuns bubbles too, breaking any "you have to run into bubbles to lose items for a few rooms" puzzles. Which is another good reason to save it for the end of your quest. 😛
