I just found a boomerang of flame... Is this the same why I get to the hidden dungeons by diving under the water?

Some of them, yes. Look for certain patterns in the water and try diving there. This water pattern will show up a few times.

Hey, you found the fire boomerang? I've searched for that thing forever and had no luck. I thought I read somewhere that it was off the coast of Desert Island... But I dove and never did find it.

Dose anyone know where to find the cross in level 6? I can't find it. I found the master key. I have found a room that seems to have only one exit and four entrances. Please some one help me.

I have another question. I beat the master dome and got the letter/map. What do I do with it now. The letter/map is not showing up in my inventory either.

I even tried going to the witch on the first island but nothing.

pvd... it's the letter, but if you already have a potion you need to use them to see it. Then use the letter in the shop.

The Patra? Just skill really. You can shoot from afar with arrows or the wand, but be aware that the best time to do so would be when it retracts its 'protective circle'.

I have almost beaten the game. I finally figured out that the hammer is in level A. I beat the blasted level after about and hour of play and I imediatly saved the game after getting the hammer. The only problem is that now when I start the game I am stuck in a wall or something. Link is invisible and I don't know how to get him out. Can anyone be of help? Thanks -- if there is no solution can the author send me the password for the quest so I can edit the screen link is on and perhaps get him out of where he is stuck... or maybe temporarily make him so he can walk through walls and get him out?

Uh, wait...Patra? In a 1.92 quest? <_<

You wouldn't happen to be playing this in 1.92 beta 184, would you? And is it a Patra 2 or 3 (i.e., 2 rings of kids)?

Because 184 has a glitch where the last kid of the inner circle has its vertical position tied to your horizontal position, or something like that.

If I remember right, you have to get into the bottom right corner of the room, and wait for the last kid to get near enough for you to kill it.

Once that's out of the way, the leader should be vulnerable, and no problem to kill; it's just that one kid that's glitched. 😛

This is actually a game ending bug with this quest. If you didn't play this quest in the correct ZC verison, you will end up running into bugs like this one. There is only one POSSIBLE fix to this. If you go to www.purezc.com and find the most recent version of this quest, the updates DFW made MAY get you out of this jam. Just overwrite your current quest file, open up the quest, and hope that it works. If not, you will unforunately have to start over. Always check the quest info for the version of ZC you are supposed to play it in. There is a reason that info is given to you.

Crums! I just downloaded the newest version and Link is still missing from the screen. If DarkFlameWolf is out there would you be willing to send me a password to edit the quest to make that particualr screen blank and thus free Link wherever he is stuck...

If you are playing it in 192/184 you can put your quest and save file in 192/183
that will get you out this bug .
If you play it in 210 or 211 you have a problem.
This quest is made to play in 192/183 , you will walk into a few bugs if you play it in another version and this is one of them

The latest version should have the 'Continue Here' box unchecked for Levels A-C. So you no longer start in those dungeons if you save and quit and resume. Now, unless the staff at PureZC didn't UPLOAD my latest version, downloading and overwriting the old version of the quest should fix things.

I have the quest updated on 8.12.06, but still I continue from the same starting point -- I have 2.1 version of zelda, so I suppose I'm using the wrong one for this quest... bummer. I've began the quest from the beggining and now I'm on level 3 -- it is time comsuming, but a lot less now that I know where most items are -- especially the number two sword 😊 -- that took forever to find. Thank you for the help.

But seriously... you find it on the isle of waterfalls. Look for the triangle and blow the whistle... I had about 12 hearts when I got it, but you only need five.

I beat this quest over this weekend thanks to a hurricane. I must say this had to be one of the best zelda games I have ever played.

Thank you for the compliment. Hopefully Lost Isle when its finally released will please you even more. Feel free to try some of my other quests if you haven't done so already. Just note that most of my quests do tend to lean towards the hard spectrum of difficulty.

Hey there.. I`m new to the whole "Zelda Classic" thing but I Just thought I`d pop in to say that I`ve played through a few of the quests now & this "Isle of the Winds" quest is *alot* better than the others I`ve played. The game seems well planned.. pleasing use of graphics, nicely laid out overworld, smart dungeon design.. the wind waker-esque rafting in the ocean works wonderfully.. & no bugs so far.. I`m very impressed. Even more so now that I`ve noticed how many quests you have made DarkFlameWolf! You must love Zelda games very much to spend so much time & effort bringing these quests of yours into being!
I`m really looking forward to your next quest "Lost Isle" - do you have a release estimate for it? If you need a beta tester before releasing, I`d be more than happy to try it out.
Now for the negatives: by your own admission, you design these games to be "hard".. which is fair enough considering that I`m sure you want to give *yourself* a challenge when playing your own games (& you`re obviously very skilled at this stage).. I imagine there would be others like you out there who get a thrill out of dodging/slashing screen after screen of bad guys.. but I`d guess that the majority of people would like their games to be alot easier. Your layouts/design are fantastic. but consider reducing the number of enemies on each screen.. & giving the player some time to breathe & explore without constant fear of death. Relaxed exploration is a really important part of Zelda games I think.. & it`s mostly missing from "Isle of the Winds" (it was pure pleasure to wander around the opening island.. but it`s frustrating to explore the other islands because of the sheer amount of bad guys)
Well, I think plenty of people have commented already on the difficulty of your games & you probably aren`t going to change.. but consider the fact that if you made a game with the same quality as "Isle of the Winds" but reduced the difficulty & "eased" the player into it, you would have a *much* bigger & more appreciative audience.
Something else to consider would be releasing a walkthrough.. or at least maps of the game with marks for where things are. This would be a big help to alot of people.
Well, I`m going to get back to playing "Isle of the Winds" now.. it`s very professional & enjoyable, congratulations on creating a solid, believable Zelda world & very best of luck with your current work in progress!

Well, try some of my other quests, a few of them are a bit easier. Fragments of Power comes to mind with concerns to playing an easy quest. Try Hidden Duality: Director's Cut as well, its a bit harder than Isle of the Winds, but it does ease the player into the quest a lot smoother than Isle of the Winds does. Furthermore, my current quest Lost Isle is a little delayed and we're looking for a Christmas release date, while everyone will probably be busy playing Twilight Princess. Kinda sucks, but it can't be helped. But I can promise you this for Lost Isle, the player will be eased into the quest initially, but at this point, the later parts are harder than Hidden Duality and Isle of the Winds!

I`ve tried some of your other quests & I`m glad to see that they all have the similar amazing quality! The way I see it, you`re performing a spectacular service to Zelda fans by providing us with whole new Zelda experiences while we wait for the next official release. I`m sorry to hear that "Lost Isle" has been delayed but I`m sure it will be worth the wait! (I`m actually more curious about it than Twilight Princess! - being a big fan of the orginal 2D Zelda games) About the difficulty.. yes I think it`s more important to "ease" the player into it rather than simply reduce the difficulty across the board. Anyway, I`m really very impressed here with what you`ve created.
LttP has always been my personal favourite of the Zelda series, hmm.. I can only imagine how awe inspiring a quest you would make if there was a "LttP Classic".. you really push the "Zelda Classic" program to it`s limits & have mastered the whole "single screen design" thing. Do you design your games out on paper first or how do you go about creating them? I`m very curious & interested to hear any thoughts & tips you have about the best way to make games like this.
