Sometimes, the full-screen black-and-white bomb flash doesn't go away after a bombchu blows up.
First time I saw this happen, it seems like I saw the explosion keep inching toward me a pixel at a time--maybe the bombchu went off multiple times?--but I may have just been seeing things...
the bombchus aren't supposed to flash the screen at all. I took it out of their code to prevent issues like this. I'll have to look into it.

And you can easily block the Bombchu's explosion with the shield, even with the small shield.
BTW: I'm running windowed mode.

Sweet. o.o I think that's how it worked in the '64 games.
I was right the first time, it seems...when frame advancing with F4 when a bombchu is about to blow, sometimes you can see that it creates 2 explosions a pixel apart from each other. They make the sound and flash within 1 frame of each other, which seems to be what causes the permanent white-out. 😛
This is a duplicate post, the other I moved to old beta bugs, in either case it seems to have been fixed, I've been unable to replicate it.
* Bomb explosions no longer display an incorrect extra frame
at the end of the explosion animation.
( DarkDragon, 2007-07-01 20:50:58 )* Fixed the timing for Bombchu explosions.
