Animating Eyeball Combos?

6 replies · 1,003 views · Started 06 April 2006

Can you have Eyeball Combos that animate and still look right? I was wondering this since you could use that to make NPCs if it's possible...

Technically, yes. Use the body and the Eyeball on 2 different layers.

Place the body on Link's layer and the eyeball on another. Technically, it should work.

Hmmm... Are you SURE that would work? I want the body AND head to move, like in the handheld Zelda games.

Actually this isn't that difficult. Right now, the animation scheme works something like this. Note that I'm assuming this to be the pattern.

1 = North
2 = Northeast
3 = East
4 = Southeast
5 = South
6 = Southwest
7 = West
8 = Northwest

If you want the Eyeball combo to animate, say, for four frames for each direction, you'd arrange the tiles (In the tiles pages.) like this:

I want there to be 2, so it would be like
1122334455667788
right?
