Mmm... You can use stairs combos in front of the guards, just make the stair combos as normal grass/dirt and make them warp to the entrance.

Awww....
Anyway:
Hey! Listen! How are you doing in the quest now?

Hey, I just thought.
How do you make Daruina dance if the only ocarina is the time traveling one?
Strike your sword on a Gong?
Put a direct warp next to some drums & it warps you to a screen where it looks like link is playing them?
Kill Daruina?

I remember in Hero of Dreams where in Level 7, you had to learn the song of seasons. After you talk to a person, you would hear it, and then you could use it by walking on a tree stump, which would bring in the next season (spring -> summer -> fall -> winter -> spring -> etc.). I think all you had to do for that was change the dmap so that a warp would exist on a tree stump. You could probably pull something very similar for this.

ok, we discussed something like this before, I (hopefully) am gonna make a direct warp under the master sword, or the pedestel, or whatever.

Uh, what does this have to do with making Daruina dance?

I was responding to the other guy. ANd the Dance, i have no idea how to do. In fact, im not sure how to make Gorons. Hmm, this has never crossed my mind before.....

I'm curious to see the finished product, because I'm including elements of Oot in my quest as well. Level 10: The Temple of Time, where you must venture through parts of the Forest, Fire, Water, Shadow, Spirit, and Light temples. I want to see how you are going to pull this off and maybe see what ideas work and which ones don't.

Right at the bottom of the combos in the Adventure Tileset there are some "sprites" to be used as NPCs. There are some that say "more to load" on them. Replace the "more to load" combos with some ready to animate Goron tiles near the the bottom of the tiles.
And Windstrike was actually responding about making Daruina dance. Perhaps standing on a tree trunk would make Link whistle Saria's Song.

If it were possible to do like 1st and 2nd quest, where when you beat the 1st quest it goes straight to the second, it would be nice to be able to do that for OoT, the 1st quest being when you're a kid and the 2nd when you're an adult. You could make the Master Sword have a tile modification for Link so he looks like he turns into an adult. Going back to being a child would be odd, though... but unless you simply don't change Link's tiles at all, it would be difficult to return to being a child.
As for the Hover boots, I think the Ladder would be the best item to use. I like the idea of making the red tunic into the boots, however, I'm not sure how you would do the iron boots.
You could make the wand into bombchus. Change Link's magic into bombchus. Make bombs into deku nuts and super bombs into regular bombs.

I bet nobody have reached this area, I did:

How'd you get there?

Wow, that all seems pretty clever, but are you saying I submit 2 quests? One as a kid and one as an adult? Or are you saying something else?

Posting two seperate quests does not sound wise to me. After all, this is a remake so it can't have all of the things the original game had, and vice versa.
Plus, people could just cut out the child quest and go straight to the adult one.

Oh, and I found this for you. I thought you might like it. You'll have to rip the cset/csets into a pallete yourself but don't we all have to do that every once in a while when editing our quests? Just follow teilr's advice and it'll be fine.

And you could use this for the background. I've ripped this one myself and you only have to rip the first cset.

LinkvsSora101 are you still stuck with the boots thing b/c i have an idea 4 the iron boots and hover boots

Lizmo, i saw that screen. Theres two parts to it, you need to connect the word "zelda" to the shield. Trust me, i tried for hours to do it, but you would need to edit in YOURSELF the shield detail when you put in the word "zelda". Which wont turn out well. So i got a different one. It is the word ZELDA with the triforce behind it. Still slacking, though, ill get back to it ASAP.

Use layers to conect them and that may solve all your problems.
Are you still using the Minish Cap background?

Sorry, guys, but for reasons i cannot tell you, the Ocarina of Time Remake is being cancelled. I am sorry, if anyone would like to try to make one, they can use this thread to explain. Sorry, but a cancellation is a cancellation.

In the name of all that is sane, pure, and humane, send me what you have so far! I will finish it! I will bust my ass to finish it if I have to!

New thread, i didnt know this one was still here, i looked for it, its probably on the first page, you'll know when you see it. I have good news.

Forget the new thread, lets use this one, anyway, here is what i said on the other one. I would love to get back on the job of the Ocarina of Time Remake, but the only problem is figuring out how to separate spiritual stones from medallions, plus, i have no idea where the triforce tiles are in the Adventure Tileset, if it werent for those problems, id be happy to start working on it again, any suggestions?

The item tiles are near the bottom of the tilesheet. The subscreen tiles are near the top, a couple pages below the link sprite tiles.

its an update, thank God!

I havent been on in a while, doing a lot of pointless crap. Anyway, i know what i have to do to even think of finishing...

first, the game will be broken into two separate games, kid, and adult, i know thats the last thing everyone wants, but it has to be done.

second, the temples will not look exactly the same, they will have the same concept, but dont expect an exact 2-d replica.

third, it may take a long time, and dungeons may be easy.

finally, i was thinking of adding a secret Cave of Ordeals, like the one in wind waker and twilight princess. (the floors and floors of enemies to get a cool prize) reply, and tell me what you think.

Thats gonna be awesome! I would like to be a beta tester.

To solve the problem of people just going straight to the Adult without the child part being done first, make it so that in the adult quest, you start in an inescapable room, surrounded on all 4 sides by walls. when you complete the child quest the end string should be a custom one that reads "The cheat is ????" and that is the lv 4 cheat in the adult quest to walk through walls to start it.

To seperate the stones from the medallions:

In the recent beta (beta 15 i think) there are "Z-Items" which are kind of like custom items, to a certain extent. In the Youg Link part, draw/get the spiritual stones tiles, check the "3 or 6" Pieces rule, go to the first 3 Z-items, edit their class number to 32 (but I'll double check to make sure) and Presto! Functional spiritual stones. Do the same thing with the medallions. Need any more help, just PM me

You should be able to do the Adult and Child version together now with the link Modification tiles, simply use the Master Sword to change your Link Tile Mod, then use a script to remove or add it to your inventory when you enter the room. And while your at it simply have it teleport you to the adult or child map, I am certain that someone who is good at scripting could give you a hand with the script.

lotus, it wasnt the tiles that were troubling me, in fact, i wasnt even thinking of making link look different, but i might be able to...anyway, it was the spiritual stone thing that made me want to separate it

and majora, your plan sounds great, but if we do that, dont you think people will use the cheat to get all items and stuff like that? It was a good thought though.

this game is going to look horrible compared to that 2D oot on monkeypro, but hey, ill try my best

thanks, keep the suggestions coming, i could use them!

Oh, I hadn't considered that, you'd have to get pretty good with scripting to be able to do both. I would say you'd have to create the Spiritual Stones as z items and have a script check to see if those items had been gathered every time you enter Hyrule Castle. If you do you get warped to a variation of the screen that allows you access to the Temple of Time, it would be kinda complex, but not at all impossible.

I read somewhere (I think it was related to Alphadawg's third quest) that if you call your quest '1st' and give it quest number 1, and then your second one '2nd' and give it quest number 2, you can make it open when you beat the first one, like in zelda one and two? You might not want to have to call it that though I spose, and it'd still be better to do with script
