One of the options in vBulletin concerns where you want the Who's Online to appear on the main forum index. You either have it at the top or the bottom. Generally when I make vBulletins, I put the Who's Online at the top. When I come to the forums, the first thing I find myself wanting to know is who else is on. I usually frequent the main forums up toward the top of the list, so it's nice to be able to get all of my information without scrolling down.
I understand that some people prefer it all the way down to the bottom. I don't really know why though. What do you guys think?
It's a pain to go all the way down to know who's online.
Agreed.
I miss the old style. 😛 It rocked. It was only a location, but now that it's in a different place, I'm amazed by how much different it makes.
Somehow it doesn't feel like the same difference (Oxymoron, anyone? .. No.) on Invisionboard forums. I have no idea why. > >.' (Not that it matters. Just an observation.)
Up top.
Also nice avatar Glenn it made me laugh.
Up top like the way it used to be :P
The top is always more fun.
I think it's perfectly fine where it was. On top!
Ive tried a bunch of the different styles, and for some the Who's Online is on the top.
No doubt about it, I prefer it at the top. It can be such a pain to scroll down to see who's on.
I like it up top, so I know who's online as soon as I log in.
If the main forum screen wasn't so long *cough*better utilize subcatagories*cough*, having it at the bottom of a not-so-long scroll would be beneficial in forcing the viewer to scan quickly over more categories, and hence maybe post more and more diversely.
im a up topper myself o_O
