2)set the Caption the same color as the subscreen background.

1)no it wont mess up the rupee counter
2)Britain, you told me to change the 'text' and when i did, everything messed yo the map name didn't show, rupess, keys, bombs, superbombs. I messed with everything else until i came across 'caption' i changed that to the subscreen color and it worked.

Well that's just what messing with things does. 😛 Best to have a backup of everything that you do before we go experimenting with things. XD Actually, it's probably best to have a few backups of everything before you do anything. 😮dd: You just never know, really.
so, did you try it change the color of caption and test it to see if -life- goes away?
It does work, but more importantly, so does "triforce". 😃 Useful for non-Zelda quests.

Well, I basically already knew all of this, but I usually just keep the words there but change the color, because it looks better with the life there in my opinion.
so are you going to release your tileset when you are done with your quest?
