Some of you may remember me rapping a few years back. It's been about 3 or 4 years since I stopped.
I have decided to pick this back up.
I've spent over a grand on equipment thus far to start back up. I figured if I was going to do it again, it had better sound halfway decent this time.
I've picked up the following:
Audio Technica Monitor Headphones
Shure KSM27 Studio Cardioid Condenser Microphone
Emu 1820 24-Bit/192kHz Interface with 2 Preamps (Sound Card)
2 KRK RP5 Rokit Powered 2-Way Active Monitor
Plus other assorted cables, and accessories.
My sound quality should be very good this time and I'm pretty excited to get back into it. I've been working on finishing up a couple of unfinished songs I found in an old notebook.
I know most of you hate rap but meh, I'll keep you posted anyway.

I haven't even mixed that at all. All I did was add a little reverb to it. It's just a clean recording, but I think if I mixed it some and spent some time I could make it sound even better than it does.
I'm pretty pleased with the quality. Light years ahead of my old stuff. I had to mix the old stuff so much to get it to sound halfway decent and now this sounds clean as soon as it comes in.

Not bad. I'm not a huge rap fan, but that wasn't bad at all.
Of course, when I hear it, I picture that guy in your avatar doing it, angry face and all. Seemed a little bit odd.
