Entering sceen 35 in Level 2 forces the player to take two hearts of damage because Link "oversteps" when entering through a door that shuts behind of him. Was this intended?

Yes this was intended.
There was a major warp ring bug in Links Retirement. I have fixed it and you can find the fixed version at http://www.angelfire.com/rock4/myzelda/links_retirement.htm. Until it's updated.

How do I reach Level 3? I read others' posts about being able to find it, while being unable to find Level 2. Is it within the Forest?
Yes, Level 3 is in the forest. Just go west then south and you should find it.
I am on the main floor of the third level. How do I reach the stairs to the lower level on the left wing of the dungeon? I found and obtained the map and compass, but I am missing a key for the NW door for screen 50.
can some one help me. I am stuck. I passed level 1 i can't get the yellow shield on the beach next to the shop. i can't get the heart container near the shed, or the one in the open in the perpetual forrest. I can't get to the red boomerang, or the red braclet in the perpetual forrest. I also can't find the hook shot to jump the gaps. I also can't get to the target in the cave right before the perpetual forrest. Does anyone have any answers?
Also where can i find some place that enhables me to hold some more bombs?Also can someone be more specific about the place to find the 2nd level sword. I've been bombing all arround the passage between the beach and the perpetual forrest and i can't find it. Thanks.
one last thing. i found level 2 but the door is locked how do i get in.

Need wand for mirror shield.
Need ladder for heart piece in forest
Need hammer for Heart next to shed
Finish level 3 then try to get the other things like the
braclet.
Need red candle for fire boomerang.

rocksfan13 you got a good quest here, but you should be thinking about your next quest. start it ASAP, if you want to be a good quest maker, never give them much information about it. im not saying your bad either you just should be thinking about it
i am in level 6 in a room that has a set of stairs but i cannot reveal them, anyone know how to do it. its the room all the way right and two from the top. Thanks.

i figured it out. But now i'm in level 7 and i am totally stumped on the wand. i have done everything i can think of in the four south east room. can you help?
i think i know where the wand is i just seem to be missing a key is that possible. is there a store where you can buy extra keys? if not could anyone help me find the wand i am absolutely stuck. also is there a way to get to the right of the wastland maze?
There isn't a way to buy any keys until you get the wand. And yes you are probably missing a secret. There is no way to the right of the wasteland maze.

In level 3, the northern door in room 77 does not lead back downstairs. Instead, it sends the player into the room directly north of it (room 67) like a one-way door. Was this intended?
Update: Is there a lack of keys in Level 3? I found that the entrance room in Level 3 has a secret passage that leads to an empty item cellar. Was this intentional?

In the Mountain Lakes area, near the SE corner of screen 16, there is a way to go east (although probably unintended because of the empty screen 17).

If the wand is in the room second from the bottom in the middle, yes i need a key, or a way to get across the blocks. If it is in the room on the middle bottom then i need to reveal the stairs. If i need the key from the room on the bottom right then i don't know how to get that. Thanks
