Swords and shields?

Can I have more than 4 kinds of swords/ shields / kinds of boomarangs etc.?

Not currently. Eventually, there will be a rewrite of ZQuest/ZC, which will include a bunch of editors, like an item editor, and after that, we'll be able to have more than 4 of whatever.
