We haven't done this in awhile, I don't think.
Anyway, my top 5 (in no particular order):
1. Final Fantasy VI
2. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
3. Super Mario Bros. 3
4. Mega Man X
5. Gradius
Yeah, Is it coincidence that all these games are before the 32 bit era? I think not.
Favorite Video Games Ever
Here is my favorite games:
1.Final Fantasy 7
2.Legend of Zelda ocarania of time
3.Phantsy Star Online 1 and 2
4.Star Wars Episode III
5.Star Ocean
Sadly enough these are not from the 8 bit era. 😞
In order:
1. Eggerland series
2. Pop n' Music series
3. Legend of Zelda 2
4. Darius Gaiden
5. Legend of Zelda
I was around for the 8 bit era, but I really came into my own as a gamer later on. Consequentially I enjoy later games:
ES3: Morrowind
Half-life/Half-Life 2
LOZ: Ocarina of Time
Goldeneye - introduced me to FPS
Final Fantasy (less than or equal to 7) - I played the first one with no idea what RPGs were. Now it's my favorite genre.
Super Mario Bros 3
-Tales of Symphonia
-Baten Kaitos
-Fire Emblem
-Harvest Moon 64
-WoW
The Legend of Zelda : Ocarina of Time
Prince of Persia : Sands of Time
Half-Life (The second one's good, but the first is better IMO)
Final Fantasy (If I had to choose, I'd go with 7 - my first real introduction to the series)
Warcraft III
...and, if you notice, those are also my five favorite genres. Huzzah!
1: Guilty Gear XX #Reload
2: Super Metroid
3: Perfect Dark
4: Super Smash Brothers Melee
5: Legend of Mana
1. Goldeneye
2. Lunar 1&2
3. WoW
4. Mariokart
5. Shining Force 1,2 and 3
Not in any order

In no particular order:
- Lunar: The Silver Star (Or Silver Star Story Complete. Either one.)
- Lunar: Eternal Blue (Or Eternal Blue Complete.)
- Dragon Warrior 3
- Final Fantasy 1
- Phantasy Star series (The first four games, before Sega decided to turn the series into an shitty online game) (well, okay, Phantasy Star 3 kinda sucked. But the others are good!)
- Super Mario Bros. 3
- Pitfall
- The Legend of Zelda
- Doom 2
- Fallout (and it's sequel, too)
- Planscape: Torment
- R-Type
This may be more than five games, the number that others have been using, but there's no way in hell that I could pick only five favorite games. In fact, there are a bunch more that I want to add to the list, but I think it's running a bit long as it is.

Super Mario World

Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
Final Fantasy (probably IX)
Zelda: LLTP
Super Mario 2
Kirby Super Stars
Counter Strike
All very well made games. There are alot more, such as Wizards and Warriors, Radical Rex, and a few others, but those 6 are probably my favorites.
Oh yeah!!! Donkey Kong Country 2 was soooo wicked. Great gameplay, diverse characters, the right amount of levels, great themes, and of course, wicked music.
