How do i get the sword to shoot the energy beam?

That's too simple. Make sure you have sword beam % set to 100% for hearts, then test the quest out with the sword you have 100% for.

where do i make the adjustment?

Go to initial data and see page 7 or 8. It says Sword power there...

you can figure the rest out....
