If you turned it off by accident, go to Settings - Sound, then slide "BG Volume" to wherever you want it to be. Sound and music are autodetected by this version of the game, so there should be no reason why your sound card would not be picked up.
i tired that, it was already all the way up, and i tried to uninstall and re-install it, still no music... it was workin 2 days ago to... i dunno what it is
Ok, if you can get sound efx, but no music it could be your speaker. I'm guessing your sound is attached to the motherboard. Check the back of your computer to see if your speaker is plugged in, see if your speaker is on and the volume is up. Windows Volume Control, check that as well.
try to see if there is something wrong with your speakers. If its ok then it should work. If it isn't then there might be something up with your sound. It might not play MIDI files I dunno.
Daywalker
no my speakers are fine, its plays the sound effects, it plays midis, cuz i was playin another game today, it worked up (played BG music) intill acouple days ago
i dunno what it is
and i tried all that stuff up there, still not workin... i wonder if this has happened to any1 else
How old is your sound card? If It's very old, then it may not be supported by Zelda Classic?
its new im guessin, and it cant be that cuzit was playin the background music a week before this.. so it isnt that... and everything else is fine...
i dunno, i doubt ill ever know what it is
Uninstall ZC, and try reinstalling it... I dunno, i'm running out of ideas.
lol, tried that twice
I give up then. I remember the old versions of Zelda Classic having a sound program, to setup your card, that was eventually dropped I guess because of Auto-Detect.
well, thnx for tryin to help me, im gonna keep fiddlin with it, ill fix it some how
