Hooray!

woop woop!!!!!!!!!!!!!

does this come as a suprise to anyone? anyone at all?

still, congrats

I am ashamed to say that i have not seen any of the LoTR films...

Let the stoning begin...

11 Oscars was well deserved. Congratulations to Peter Jackson.

* Screams a whole lot, similar to a pack of nutcases. *

I knew they would do it. Who can say no to [strike]Orlando Bloom [/strike] The LoTR series. 😉

It deserved it. It really was one of the best movies i have ever saw.

WHEE!!!

I was about to make a thread cause I didn't see one, then I saw a Starkist post saying 'Hooray!'. Basically, anyone would know what that means, lol.

I'm glad they won all 11 they were nommed for. That ties them up with Titanic and Ben-Hur.

Did you guys see Sean Astin (Samwise) cry like the little hobbit bitch that he is? I laughed. ....Like he made the movie.

Makes up for it, after they got robbed with the other two movies.

I was shocked. I thought for certain that The Real Cancun would take best picture.

2001: Shrek
2002: Spider-Man
2003: Lord of the Rings: Return of the King

Three (comic)book-based movies got the award in a row. Wow.....

Which award are you referring to? Best Picture in 2001 was A Beautiful Mind and in 2002 was Chicago.

Yay! There are no words in English to express my ecstasy, so I guess I'll try Elvish. Elen sila lumenn omentielvo! (A star shines on then moment of our meeting!) No, that doesn't work. I know! Ro caele beika fion! (He has had too much wine!) Hmmm. Anyone know how to say "Congratulations" in Elvish?

YES! I'm so overjoyed that the movies recieved proper respect! The books have already recieved their proper respect (that's why there's a movie about em.)

It's about time a LOTR movie won best picture... I was so sure Fellowship was gonna win when it came out. I was rooting for Return of the King the whole time... This was a good year for the Oscars (except for the fact that Bill Murray didn't win Best Actor...)

LOL. That was intentional, right?
