OMFG OMFG O M F G

/me orgasms

It's going to cost like $50 or $60 but who cares, man? It's LoTR!

YES, LotR goodness! I doubt I'll able to see them all back to back, but I might rewatch Fellowship and Two Towers before I see the Return of the King. I just really wish I could be able to read other works by Tolkien.

/me hopes it's as good as the book.

Rijuhn: Check the library.

They'll probably put the destruction of the ring later in the movie than it was in the book. Chapter 2 of the second book (each novel is divided into two books) is too early of a climax for your average moviegoer.

I know where JJ and I will be on December 16th...

*BIG GRIN*

w00t! It's about freakin' time!!

Hmm... wonder if they'll have the marathon in Japan... Watching movies in English with Japanese subtitles is interesting. :kawaii:

That's a whole lotta Lotr. I've watched parts of the first one, Tony has it. I haven't watch the first one all the way through and I haven't seen any of the second one. I really need to watch them, I've heard so many great things about them. Perhaps I should watch them all on Dec 16?

I wonder how many theaters would be doing this, or if tickets for the three movies would cost as much as seeing three movies. Think WB will try this with The Matrix? It's possible...

I already thought of something like this before when sitting on an airplane (It was Air New Zealand, which runs advertizements for the movies and has the temporary slogan "Airline to Middle Earth"😉 They might consider putting in intermissions, especially with the extended versions.

If you noticed a large portion of the Two Towers book was not put at the end of the 2nd movie. That will most likely be put onto the beggining. I can see the story of the 3rd movie farely well. Most of it will deal with the preparations for and subsequent execution of the siege of Minas Tirith. On the other side it will follow Frodo and Sam's long journey to Mount doom. Honestly, from all I've read I'm not sure how they will fit all of it in the movie. Of course they will have to cut parts, but it will be interesting to see what does and doesn't make it in.
