I have been bombarded with HOMEWORK!

I have just found out that I have a ton of homework to do before monday😞
So, I was hoping you lot could help me with one of the more simpeler pieces.
For technology, I need to find as many uses for a timer as possible because that is what we will be making when we get back.
e.g. egg timer, burgaler alarms have a timer in it, a microwave.

So, can you help me? 😊
just list as many uses for a timer as possible😉

note:
when I say a timer, I dont mean a stop watch or something like that. I mean something that has a countdown.

Hmm, this sounds pretty similar to something I made back in old school, which in fact was an Egg timer!

Uses for a timer eh?

Testing pupouses(sp?) in scientific experiment
Cooking
Physical events- Racing, swimming
Counting down to a specific date
Cheap competitions, I don't know, spinning a coin? < basically, games in general
Activation times for things like switches in programs

There are a few off the top of my head...

erm...countdown to an event. like when the ball drops in NYC on new year's eve.
a bomb
coffeemakers that have auto-timers in them so you wake up to a fresh pot of coffee.
the internet connection timer AOL uses for kids so that they get disconnected after an amount of time that their parent sets.

i dunno how much help that is, really, but it's awful early still and my brain's not quite awake yet.

ok, thanks for the help😉 .
I have done 5 pieces of homework and it took me 5 hours:angry:
at least it all done now😊

Implant the timer into a fish and pretend it's some sort of bomb!
Countdown to a rocket launch.
count down to lunch
count down to the homework deadline
you've already finished, haven't you?
