With the Metroid games coming out soon, I remembered the comics that Penny Arcade did back when there were still talks about new Metroid games.

I remember reading those! Good stuff. The 3rd part of the Metroid saga one was great "You said it, Miyamoto-san" ::laughs:: 😃

LOL @ Count your lucky stars! I have, and I'm glad I don't have a Metris game, hehe

Haha, yeah I remember those too.. I like that last one 😃

"You see a metroid(tm)"
">shoot metroid"
"You shoot the metroid(tm)"
"You see another metroid(tm)"

lol

Hehe, the "Count Your Lucky Stars" one was the very first Penny Arcade strip I ever read 😉

And they need to make a Metris, dammit! 😃 I found some home-brewed Metris game (based on the strip, of course), it was kinda cool... Needed more bells and whistles though. The metroids should turn to ice and explode when you get a line... and something really spiffy should happen when you get a Tetris... err, Metris.

Yup, I actaully kinda wanted the Dance Dance Samus or Metroid. I didn't even have to click the links, I knew all of them right off the bat, I read PA too much 😊

Hmm, you know, that text adventure could have been quite fun....

in the 70's.

I like text adventures,

you see metroid
switch to ice beam
shoot at metroid
**wait 3 seconds**
you hit metroid
metroid freezes
you see mother brain
switch to missle
shoot at motherbrain
**wait three seconds**
glass around motherbrain breaks

and so on.

Real text adventure games can be fun though.

I'd wanna play a text-based Metroid game... At least, to see what it's like. Text-based puzzles - Even earler GUI puzzles, like King's Quest - are plenty more challenging than today's fare, IMHO.

I remember King's Quest, it pissed me off. I beat it though. Back when we had to pay for strategy guides, instead of getting them on the internet.

alot of the old sierra games rocked. king's quest, quest for glory, lesiure suit larry:naughty: loved them all. matter of fact trying to finda copy of QFG anthology(1-4 in the series)
