Thought that was Windows? Wel, it's not. It's the new Xandross Linux Desktop that has such an uncanny resemblance to Windows that it's unbeleivable. Will this win over the Windows crowd? The release is September 30...I frankly can't wait.
The Resemblence is uncanny...
Oh my. That's pretty cool. Now they need to mimic the XP look to make people happy...
That looks sweet!! But ive never tried Linux before.....
It will win over some people, no doubt, but I don't use windows simply because I like the way it looks. I'm sure you could probably fix the problem you are having with your sister using that WM. Just be prepared for a lot of complaints from her, because windows and Linux DO function differently in many ways.
Wow. Looks just like a red X. That is uncanny. 😊
Snagged this off of Xandros' website.
Wow, a red X. That is so windows. But who would want a theme like that for Linux 😃 j/k .
looks good man!

Alex's pic. As for my real thoughts, it looks pretty good, and I don't care which OS I use, as long as it can run all my programs.
The second pic looks like it has materia in it. Yes, you could say I'm a FF7 fanatic.
I read that article too. Looks kinda nice, like they really wanna pull for a desktop market with this distro. That's all well and good, but I'm not too keen on the Windows-like graphics, too many bad memories...
I think it's more of a conversion process. Step linux newbies gradually up to a better OS' environment. Who knows.. This could be better than Red Hat when it comes to crossing a person over.
Man, i wanna learn linux, but i know CRAP all about linux or programming so i wonder if it would be a wise decision to intall it....
This could be interesting.
