mid to mp3

There's some program that can turn midi's into wavs, which could then be turned into mp3s. And mp3 to midi converters invariably suck.

Must we go through this again....

I'll sum up:
.mid -> .mp3 is easily possible. Just use a program that outputs midi files as .wavs, then convert it to mp3 from there. (Wingroove is the simplest and most well known)

.mp3 ->.mid is virtually impossible for now. There is no program in existance that can effectively read and interpret each note and every frequency in a multiple instrument file. All you'll get in the end is just a bunch of garbled mess on a staff.

If however, your file is just a single instrument, then the conventional programs can be used and work rather well since they are only deciphering 1 instrument frequency.

Basically, for .mp3 -> .mid, you'll need to get someone to write it and sequence it out for you 😉

Do you know about any MP3->MIDI converters? I think I may need one...
