My grandpa passed away today...

I suppose it wouldn't make much of a difference if he would of have had the surgery or not, 80% is still a large chance

I'm doing fine. I'm not a cry baby, so it doesn't hurt me much, but it's still sad. 😞

I know what it's like to lose someone; my grandfather died when I was 13. I myself didn't feel much emotion; all I can say is wait until the funeral, because that is when it will hit you. That's the way it was for me; I was just peachy-fine for the entire time, then they started playing the music at the funeral, and for some inane reason, I just broke right down.

Funny thing is that after the funeral, you wouldn't have known I had been upset.

Yes indeed. My grandmother passed away years ago, I can't remember how long it was. I was fine, just a little sad, until the funeral. When I walked out I started crying, just like everybody else. :cry:

I'm sorry to hear this, but essentially, its part of life, and we all go through these things. I hope you feel better soon!

I know how ya feel man...I lost my Great Grandma last year....it tore me up.

We all go through somthing like this. I lost 3 or my grandparents over the course of a few months. First my grandmother, then my other grandmother, and finally, the remaining grandfather. I didn't cry much at all either. While I am sad that they left, I know that they are in a good place.

I've been also been having dreams about my grandmother, so her memory hasn't completely left. I hope that I can help her soul out when I finally get the chance.

That sucks. I feel sorry for you. I lost 3 of my grandparents in the past.
My last remaining grandpa is dying of all sorts of things; his colon is worn out, and he has stage 2 dementia. He has lost 10 days in the past week.

I know what it's like.

I lost one of my grandfather's last year. I was slightly sad until the funeral, where I broke down.

I lost my grandmother when I was really young, so I don't remember her very well. I know she was nice because I have some memories of her.

My grandmother and grandfather on my dad's side are left. Of course, my grandfather was diagnosed(sp?) with cancer a few months ago. 😞

I know EXACTLY how you feel, Raichu. I've had too many family deaths (my dad's death being the worst), so just remember, there's someone here that can share the same kind of greif. Just hang in there, dude... 😞

I feel your symphathy. I hope you can get through this. When my parents got dicorced I could barley handle it.

i lost my grandmother on my father's side about 2 1/2 years ago. she was in her late 60s. i miss her but i know that i cant let it bother me forever. death is a cruel mistress and comes in many forms. when and how she comes for us we never know. i can only say that i feel your pain.

Thats sucks, My granpa passed away 2 or 3 years ago, I didn't take it that badly but its still not a good thing really.

I am sorry. I just want to tell you a story:

Stuart and his Dad went to a movie theater to see some movie. His dad had heart promblems...they weren't very serious and Stuart's dad took medication. While watching the movie Stuart's dad started to feel kinda sick. "Stuart I'm going to the car to get some medicine. I'll be bask in 5"
He walked out. The movie ended and 'Dad' hadn't come back yet. Stuart (11 yrs. old) found him in the car dead.

As for me, I found out today that my grandmother is back in the hostipal. So continues the days of our lives...
