Effective as of May 21, 2002, Nintendo will drop the price of the GameCube to $149.99. Source: IGN GameCube
For all of us who were holding out it appears that now is the time.

It's not america, it's only 120 over here (it was launched 3rd may at 170, the price dropped a couple of weeks ago)

So the Canadian price will probably be $225. Too bad I already bought one...

Daarkseid 20 May 2002, 17:43

Yes! I'll only be paying 200 for that combination of a Gamecube and Resident Evil.

Take that Xbox! 😛bbbbbbt:

Not only that, but since my friends and I already have a PS2, we can now afford a cube.

Damn. O well I guess the extra fifty bucks is worth playing it 6 months earlier (I already got mine on launch day).

Yeah, I knew they would cut the price.. it would be stupid not to w/ the Xbox and PS2 cuts.
