Obscure Reference Game

14 replies · 5,127 views · Started 07 May 2002

It's a game in which you try to guess at pop culture references!

Here are the rules:

The person who gives the reference is the 'raspberry' and gets to
use the :blah:.

If you correctly identify a reference, you get the :blah: and you
become the raspberry.

You can steal the :blah: and immediatly ask a new question if you
know you are right, but if you end up being wrong you get hit
with a 'pointed stick' -> :whap: . Think of it as a 'hack stitch' in
hackey sack.

Here is an example:

<raspberry>:blah: IT'S YOU !!

<answerer> Zero Wing!!

<raspberry> Correct, you get the :blah:!!

and then the new raspberry gives a reference.

When giving a reference you must give the category in the subject bar, or in bold above the question, if you like using the quick reply box:

Television
Movies
Music
Comics
Books
etc...

When doing a music reference, try to do only lyrics from songs that were on the radio, not just on an album.

If nobody gets it you can either give a clue or a new question.
Have fun!

titan AE when the purple haired girl and the blodnd guy were meeting first and he saw the slimy alien friend eating!:blah: :blah: :blah:

i hope i'm playing thee game right :/

*holds his head to keep from getting whacked

actually, it was from MST3K the movie, where the main guy is struggling with the planes throttle. But I hand off the :blah: to you anyhow, since I gotta go...

MOVIES
obscure reference: "IT'S WORKING! IT'S WORKING"

tricky clue: that quote is in two movies. "relatives" of the star of the first of the two movies made an appearance as extras in the second of the two. :blah:

I know its "Sex with the penis!" LOL

maybe the obscure references shouldn't be quite as obscure, try to make 'em a little more mainstream (myself included)

clue:

the two movies were made by two different directors, two of the most famous directors of all time

jurassic park

:whap:

phantom menace

correct! now whats the first of the two movies containing the quote that was made?
