I started to make an RPG with RPG Maker for PS... I can think up a good story, but I can't do all the little details. Plus I don't have a keyboard for my PS2. (I have gotten a few RPG making programs for computer since then.

Back on topic:

ZZT: The origional easy-to-use graphical-text baised game creation system by Epic Megagames. Now distributed as freeware, and has a large community following.

MZX: The spiritual successor to ZZT made by Gregory Janson, maker of some of the finest ZZT games in existance (Code Red), programed this when he felt that ZZT was too limiting. Latest official version is 2.51, with multiple fanmade extensions and an unfinished 2.7 which is a Linux port.

Uh just letting you all know that noone is working on crossover anymore and Special Unit Zero is now replaced by Megaman NEO, a completely new megaman game. There is no website for it yet, just a few posts about it on my forums.

Weren't Kefka and Breaker working on an FF2(4) remake. That would be awesome. I still want to know what happened to that...

They're not anymore, it just didn't happen or something.

Geez... that was a loooooooong time ago now.

And it may not be a remake, but it's a game.. McCrackin is working on a 3d RPG called for now "Project 3d" it's newly hosted at GU.

does anybody know of a GOOD MMX game maker? I really wanna try one (yes, I've tried MM21XX)

Does anyone know of any other Zelda remakes that are completed or will be completed very shortly? like a good zelda 3 one would be awesome, cuz open zelda dont aggree with my video card a whole lot... 😞

Hey, DJ, a new Z3 Clone Project hmm? Looks interesting, I just visited the site, and Fatty Lumpkin, for now, no, but it seems there will be one with the new Zelda 3 Clone Project. Check Dark Jim's siggy.

Though not a fan game, Catles of Adventure plays a lot like a mini-Zelda Classic. It's basicly a game where you run around, find keys, unlock doors, and teleport. Even the editor looks like ZC! If you get this game, make sure to get my maps and sets for it (in the maps section and in the directory). This program can be limiting, but good for begining Zquest users.

Heh I forgot to update this again. We now also have a 3D game in development which is for now just called "Project 3D".

Quoting MojoBob from my forums:

Ok, heres the score...
Link's Odyssey is going well (and backed up a million times a day )
At the moment I'm in the process of finishing the engine totally. The New Movement code is complete (now identical to LttP) and all of the standard abilities like picking up objects/pushing pulling etc. are in. At the moment I'm working on adding all of the Items (and in turn the Save System). And here's the big news....Once the engine is complete I will release it as a beta to a select few people to test everything on a specially built map.

NOTE: None of the actual game will be playable, neither will any of the plot be given away - its for testing purposes only

I'll keep you posted.

arg!!! i cant stand this, i need some good fangames of Zelda and Megaman that work! that are fun! i would use Open Zelda, but my video card dont like it! argg... :banghead:

Get Cracking Game Developers! 😛oke: :whap:

Kefka vanished when the forums went down for the first time.

I think that Dark Nation needed him for the meat grinder that made Zelda Classic 1.90 ^_^

Ok, umm, im just a little more than curious, 1) who was kefka, 2) when was the first time the forums whent down? 3) What did Kefka do @ one time and finally 4) When will there be an update for OZ that will support my freaking video card?!

A long long time ago, before you became a member Breaker and a Kefka were supposedly working on a clone of Final Fantasy 4, but it never happend. It never happend and its been dead for years.
The first big time I can remember the forums going down was about a month or so after AGN switched to Fuitad.net for hosting, and Fuitad.net went down, like maybe last Spring?
Ask GD, "OpenZelda", in the Open Zelda forum about your Open Zelda problems. Open Zelda requires a 3-D card but that is all the info I can offer.

Handheld Simulators

Some old stuff in here, such as Game & Watch. Those were the sh!t.

Now if we can get them to carry Zelda Game and Watch.

A new version of Zelda 3 Clone has been released.

Z3C now supports Direct3D as well as OpenGL. This will ensure that the program will run most mashines having a 3D graphic card. Currently Direct3D is the default, if you want to use OpenGL you have to edit the config.cfg file (It's plain text and can be opened in Note/Wordpad).
Now to the gameplay. Rupees, bombs, magic bottles and hearts has been added. You can now place bombs which will explode after 5 seconds. A hud has been added as well, so you can see how many rupees, bombs, magic and hearts you have. I had some problems with doors, so they are missing in the release.

Most graphics in the demo quest have been touched up by Strider. Currently it isen't possible to change back to the original tiles, but that will be implemented in one of the next versions.

Hope that I have found every bug in this release. I just found out that it wasn't possible to open the console in the last release if you had an english keyboard layout. Thats fixed now. Further you can change the keys now, you just have t o edit the config.cfg.

I have also uploaded the source of the render_ogl.dll, render_d3d.dll and game.dll. If you are curious how things are working in Z3C you can download them in the download section, but beware, I'm a hobby programmer and totaly self taught so expect some bad coding habits.

You can find the download here: http://www.gmdsoft.de/menne/z3c

Indeed, lets bombard them with e-mails until they do:sb:
