As far as I know, I don't think they have any plans to make an iPad version of ZC, so odds are, it's not happening.

Being a derivative work, Zelda Classic cannot be distributed through avenues like the Apple Store or Google Play. So no, there will not be a version for the iPad, sorry.

It could be sideloaded on both platforms if someone did the work. It is by no means a trivial task. Unfortunately I think for Apple that still means jailbreaking. Google Play is a different story. It may or may not be accepted and it may or may not be removed at any time. Android does have several 3rd party markets that can be used but it is a limited audience.

Curious if there was something like an NESter or BGA emu on IPad. (Yes, I am the only person in existence to not have an "I"something. Sue me.)

I hate Apple. Android is starting towards terrible trends too. Soon WinPho will be the default choice because everyone else just stinks worse.

Woah now, let's not jump straight to Windows Phone; Ubuntu Touch, Tizen, and Firefox OS are all viable alternatives as well. xD

Will they have real support though?

If I recall correctly, Tizen is supposed to be able to run Android applications and they're working towards encouraging more developers to develop applications for Tizen.
Ubuntu Touch is still Ubuntu, not some entirely new platform, so developers should be able to jump right in. I know I'll be developing some applications for Ubuntu Touch haha.
I haven't tried Firefox OS, but I've heard good things about it.

It is a bit of a concern how fragmented these mobile platforms are, but I'm really hoping to see at least one of these platforms make decent progress out there. On the bright side, all of these could be installed on many of the devices that are already out there.
